The marble-paved Riva Square, that we reached by walking through the old Andros Town, (also known as Chora). This is the copper statue of the “Unknown Sailor”, by Michael Tombros. It is dedicated to all those lost at sea serving in Greece’s Merchant Shipping Companies. Andros has strong sea-going links and used to be known as “The Island of Captains” OM4T Z. 21 F2 at f11 Kod 100 Ektar
